Perfranco was created in memory of Gianfranco Bergianti's gatherings at village clubs. It is made from vines of an ancient clone of Salamino di S. Croce, with a compact and elongated bunch. A fresh and citrusy wine, with hints of pink grapefruit, it breaks away from the classic canons of the grape variety.
Grapes harvested by hand in perforated 250 kg bins. Destemming, soft pressing, and use of only free-run juice. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. 6 months of aging in concrete, 6 months in bottle.
